Judging from the reviews on Google Play, a lot of devices have a hard time running Iruna. I thought it might be helpful if everyone who's successfully running the game could post their device, OS, and experiences here as a reference!
This is just what we have so far, though obviously it does work on a number of devices beyond what's listed here.
Asus Nexus 7
Asus Transformer Prime
LG Optimus 2X
Motorola Droid RAZR
Samsung Galaxy Nexus
Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung Galaxy S3
Samsung Galaxy W
Samsung Nexus S
Sony Xperia Play (also works with hardware controls)
Sony Xperia Ray (may have overheating issues)
Sony Xperia S
Runs with lag or often force closes:
none so far
Confirmed Not Working:
LG Optimus S
LG Optimus V
Samsung Galaxy Precedent
If you know it doesn't work on a certain device or OS, let us know that, as well.
IF YOU GET A BLACK SCREEN WHEN TRYING TO RUN IRUNA THIS IS PROBABLY WHY:
Not so great on the samsung precedent. Dosent even launch. the hardware isn't much different from the optimus l,s(sprint),m(cricket-etro pcs),and v(virgin mobile) I can confirm the game fails on the optimus s and v , however unconfirmed on their almost identical variants.
The game works perfectly for me on the Toshiba Thrive and Acer Iconia tablets, as well as my dad's two Galaxy Nexus phones.
Also runs well on the ASUS transformer tablet, though the game sometimes force closes whenever I go to the character status screen or press sell in the shop. That bug seems to have fixed after the update though.
Won't even open on the Virgin Mobile LG Rumor phone though :/
Running on my HTC One XL (AT&T) with only slight problems:
- Even when my phones plugged into the wall, iRuna uses more juice then what the charger can supply. I rooted my phone with the Viper ROM in hopes this'll fix it, but still power management seems to be an issue
- When typing in the Chat, the game screen scrolls up and a black border separates the game screen and the on-screen keyboard. Because of this, you can't see what you're typing. It seems as if that border wasn't there we'd be able to see it
- Occasionally the phone powers down without warning. Because of this I'm left only to assume it's because of the CPU overheating? I tried a suggestion of enabling party-only for character visualizations and even this doesn't seem to help.
I love the game so much that I'm willing to consider buying a tablet to play it, even though I love the convenience of my phone
Besides these minor complaints, the game runs great on the HTC One XL
